Rihanna's Former Backup Dancer Shirlene Quigley Found: 'She Is Safe and at a Medical Facility,' Police Say

UPDATE: The North Bergen Police Department confirms Shirlene Quigley has been found, writing in an Instagram, "She is safe and at a medical facility which location is undisclosed at this time."


PREVIOUSLY: Rihanna is helping in the search for her former backup dancer, Shirlene Quigley.

"This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!!" the 28-year-old singer posted on Monday, along with a video of Quigley. "My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her! If anyone has seen or has any information on @shirlenequigley's whereabouts, PLEASE CONTACT the North Bergen Police Department at 201-392-2100!!!!"

In the video, which Quigley posted eight weeks ago, the 32-year-old dancer says, "Imagine if we all treated one another like we lived in the same home. Imagine if we treated each other like we all really came from the same family."

Quigley -- who was also a backup dancer for Beyonce Jamie Foxx -- continues, "I know people probably think I'm crazy because I'm always telling everyone, 'I love you! I love you!' Because the minute that I meet somebody, I do love them. Because I know in my heart and in my spirit that that's my brother and my sister, that's my neighbor."

Missy Elliott also asked her Instagram followers to help in the search for Quigley. "She is so loved and we pray for her safe return," the 45-year-old rapper captioned a video of her friend. "If you have any information or seen her, please contact North Bergen police 201-392-2100. ...Need help from the whole dance community to spread the word! Those who have met her know her spirit is always bubbly and kind and uplifting energy! Sending countless prayers."

Since Friday, thousands of people have posted photos of Quigley on Instagram in hopes of finding her.

According to NBC New York, Quigley -- who lives alone in North Bergen, New Jersey, and teaches dance at Peridance Capezio Center and Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan -- was last seen getting on a bus at Port Authority in New York City around 1 a.m. on Sunday. "I just want her to come home, or if someone has her to let her be," her father told the local news station. "She's everything to me. She's why I live."
